Suicide is a means to escape the entrapment of the self-constructed narrative (suicide crisis narrative) of a future that is unimaginable.  Once this decision to die by suicide is made it is often resolute thus difficult to alter.

This assessment seeks to quickly identify a person at imminent risk by evaluating for the: 1) presence of a suicide crisis narrative; 2) emotions that drive the narrative; and 3) the cognitive, physiological and behavioral components that feed both the emotions and the narrative.

Suicide is a means to escape the entrapment of the self-constructed narrative (suicide crisis narrative) of a future that is unimaginable.  Once this decision to die by suicide is made it is often resolute thus difficult to alter.

This revolutionary New Suicide Assessment protocol (Akamai Imminent Suicide Assessment) answers the absolutely key question: Is this person likely to attempt to die by suicide?

Key Concept of AISA

ENTRAPMENT (i.e., the belief that there is no reasonable way to escape from their dilemma) is considered a necessary condition for dying by suicide.  Triggered by a self-defined traumatic event (often unseen and unknown by an observer), the potential victim of suicide experiences activations of their negative emotional, cognitive, and behavioral states which leads to an attempt to die by suicide.

The REAL QUESTION:  Is this person at imminent risk of dying by suicide?  Overwhelmingly, suicide assessments are barely better than chance in identifying who is at imminent risk of dying by suicide. Using AISA, one can not only identify those at imminent risk of dying by suicide but do so quickly, as well as, present suggested action plans.
